Classes Conducted as Usual as of May 26th, 2009.

Fukuoka’s first case of H1N1 influenza infection was confirmed in Shime Town on Monday, May 25th.
The Governor of Fukuoka announced Monday night that the prefectural government will respond to the outbreak on the same level of alert as for seasonal influenza, and has concluded that there is no need at this point to order the closure of schools and childcare facilities, or to request cancellation of large gatherings. The prefecture has already decided to keep primary schools and junior high schools in Shime Town open.
Since there is no order or request by the Fukuoka prefectural government to close schools, Kyushu University has decided to continue conducting classes as usual.
