Courtesy visit by H.E. Mr. Ian Burney

The Ambassador of Canada to Japan, His Excellency Mr. Ian Burney made a courtesy visit to Executive Vice President Sanae Itoh on Frinday, May 19th, 2017, accompanied by Ms. Andrea Clements, Senior Trade Commissioner and Counsellor at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo and Mr. Koji Fujii, Trade Commissioner.
At the meeting, Vice President Koichiro Watanabe explained the status of exchanges between Canadian institutes and Kyushu University and they had a discussion to promote further cooperation.
Following the meeting, the delegation took the fuel cell vehicle and visited the International Research Center for Hydrogen Energy to have a briefing about the Hydrogen Project at Kyushu University from Senior Vice President Kazunari Sasaki.
Mr. Burney listened attentively to the explanation and took a tour of the Hydrogen Society Showroom and Hydrogen Station.
It was a meaningful visit for Kyushu University to deepen exchanges with Canada.
