Academic Year 2014, Kyushu University Matriculation Ceremony

   On April 7, 2014 (Monday), the matriculation ceremony was held at newly built SHIIKI HALL for 2,688 freshly enrolled students. Following the celebration concert by Kyudai Philharmonic Orchestra, President Arikawa delivered a welcoming address and Ms. Moe Mine gave a speech as a representative of the new students.

　Students listened with attention to the speech by guest speaker Tetsuo Kuba, President and Chairman of Kyocera Co. Ltd. (Class of 1979), and the lectures by board members of the university. After the end of the ceremony, the university's cheerleading club and the Kyushu University male chorus Chor Akademie gave rousing performances to welcome the new members of Kyushu University.
