Kyushu University welcomes donations for academic research, the promotion of education and other purposes.
The following provides a partial explanation of the donation process: |

Donations |

| 1) |
Donations will be used in line with the purpose for which each donation is made, whether for academic research, the promotion of educational research or for university administration. |
| 2) |
Donors are encouraged to specify the purpose for which their donation should be used (specified use designation). When any purpose is not specified by the donor, the university has the discretion to decide how the donation should be applied. |

Please understand that we cannot accept a donation that has any conditions requiring any form of quid pro quo.

Patents and other rights |
|
| Kindly understand that any invention resulting from research conducted with donated money, in principle, will belong to the university or the inventor. |

Tax incentives |
|
| Donors can receive tax benefits for their donations. Donations to the university fall under the designation of specified contributions, as defined by the Finance Ministry. They are recognized as tax deductible outlays under the Income Tax Law, or as fully deductible expenses under the Corporate Tax Law. |

How to donate |
|
| If you wish to offer a donation, kindly submit a written letter of notification (in any format) to the relevant department or office. Your donation will be greatly appreciated. |
