At OPERA, we promote collaborative industry–government–academia study from basic research to device applications, working together with the Fukuoka I3 Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics Research (i3-OPERA), established by Fukuoka IST in 2012. We will lead the way to create a Molecular System for Devices Valley in the near future.Future DevelopmentFrom an academic perspective, we will pursue a more detailed analysis of material properties, strive to create newer organic light-emitting materials, and advance the theory of organic light-emitting materials. In addition, toward the goal of the practical use of organic electroluminescent devices based on TADF materials, we will attempt to integrate the development of materials, devices, and fabrication techniques and to advance the research and development of a lineup of highly efficient RGB light-emitting materials, which cover the three primary colors, as well as of long-lifetime devices. In the research and development activities of Kyushu University, we will promote industry–government–academia collaboration for the practical use of materials as well as the advancement of the theory of organic optoelectronics.WebsiteCenter for Organic Photonics and Electronics Research, Kyushu University (OPERA) http://www.cstf.kyushu-u.ac.jp/~adachilab/opera/index_e.htmlProfile of Prof. Chihaya Adachi September 2005 - present : Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu University Project Leader, Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics ResearchApril 2004 : Professor, Faculty of Photonics Science, Chitose Institute of Science and TechnologyMarch 2001 : Associate professor, Faculty of Photonics Science, Chitose Institute of Science and TechnologyMay 1999 : Researcher, Center for Photonics and Optoelectronic Materials (POEM),Princeton University (United States) August 1996: Assistant professor, Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu UniversityApril 1991 :Joined the Chemical Products R&D Center, Ricoh Company, Ltd.March 1989 : Graduated from doctoral course, Department of Materials Science and Technology, Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Kyushu University (Doctor of Engineering)4Kyudai News No.24TADF light-emitting material on display
