This international education project, which is targeted at undergraduate students, aims to develop human resources capable of playing an active role in the global arena with superior skills and knowledge in the eld of next-generation agriculture “AgriBio”.The goal of this program is to enable 25% of the students in each grade level to achieve a TOEFL-iBT score of 80, which has been set as our English language skills standard. The invitation to join this program drew applications from 175 students, a much higher number than we had expected. Around 110 students who obtained a score of 40 or higher in a placement test (TOEFL-iBT Complete Practice Test) have been divided into three graded classes: Basic Class (Beginner-Level), Basic Class (Middle-Level) and the Advanced Class.Problem-based Learning Program at universities in ASEAN countriesTen students of the School of Agriculture received practical lessons in how to solve various agricultural problems at Hanoi University of Agriculture in Vietnam (August 16 to 29) and 11 students did so at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi in Thailand (September 16 to 26). In February, students will be sent to the University of Georgia, Costa Rica, to participate in a similar program.Development of AgriBio Leaders with an International PerspectiveAgriBio Leader English Study Program (ALEP)A total of 46 students, including undergraduate and master's course students, were sent to San Jose State University in the U.S. state of California between August 19 and September 13 with cooperation from the California Ofce of Kyushu University.
