and foster friendship between international and Japanese students, thereby internationalizing the clubs and circles. By doing so, international students and Japanese students can not only enjoy friendship but also help each other and enjoy their hobbies together.Dr. Fujiki : This is a very important issue. On weekends I go to the Kaizuka ground and see international students playing football. I don’t know what language they are speaking, but they are very good players, and I am sure they would want to get into teams. Sometimes teams or clubs have no experience in dealing with international students themselves, so we need to work out how to open the door to clubs for foreign students. Ekenechukwu : There is nobody here today from the infrastructural subcommittee today so I will provide a brief report. A survey was conducted in October about the most favorable living conditions for foreign students, regarding the international village under construction. Results show 65 respondents, of which 51 were Japanese. 60 percent of respondents prefer single dormitories and don’t wish to share with other people, but all respondents said that they are interested in interacting with both international and Japanese students. 90 percent said they could improve their language skills by doing so and this shows that students believe that they can improve their language skills and broaden their horizons by interacting with each other.Dr. Fujiki : Just cohabiting in the same space, people can learn a great deal from each other.Ekenechukwu : Putting students together in dormitories was identied in the previous proposal as a way of fostering relationships.Dr. Fujiki : Buildings in the international village are going to be designed to be able to host international seminars and meetings, and there will be facilities to host seminars and meetings.8Kyudai News No.25Dr. Yukio Fujiki : Executive Vice President
