Enrollment Fee Exemption/Deferment and Tuition Fee Exemption for Newly-enrolled Students

- Information for the application period of enrollment fee exemption (deferment) and tuition fee exemption for fall semester 2022 has been closed. Please make sure 1 to 5 as noted below. (Updated October 15, 2022)

- Emergency Tuition Fee Exemption Application Fall Semester 2022 is closed. (Updated 15, 2022)
If you wish to apply this exemption, please read Application Guideline carefully. Then if you are an eligible applicant, you need to complete Step A and B procedure which is shown on the guideline within each deadline. (Updated Aug. 3, 2022)

☆Applicable international students: He/she compares with salary, wage, or business income by labor 2019, 2020 or 2021 in Japan and those estimated income by labor 2022 in Japan and then proves a decrease income in 2022 by them.

☆Emergency Tuition Fee Exemption is a different support by a regular Tuition Fee exemption as below.

1. How to apply enrollment fee exemption/deferment and tuition fee exemption?

<For Newly-enrolled Students, enroll in October 2022>
Please read Application Guidebook below and check details of application flow, eligibility, required documents' check list, submission way/counter and so on. After you read it and wish to apply our enrollment fee exemption/deferment and/or tuition fee exemption, please apply.
Caution:
1) If you apply enrollment fee exemption/deferment, please don't pay this fee and submit "Provisional Application" for this exemption/deferment during enrollment procedure. A form for Graduate Students is HERE.
2) You need to complete Web registration as Step 1 AND Document submission as Step 2 within each deadlines.

Please read an Application Guidebook above first. Step 2 is different from students live in Japan, so please check below how to complete Step 2 from overseas.

<For Newly-enrolled Students who haven't received SSO-KID which needs for Step 1>
Regarding your SSO-KID, you receive it after you enter this university. For detail, please contact and ask a students' office of school which you belong to.

2. Application periods for newly-enrolled students  

Provisional Application: During enrollment procedures period
Application Step 1: October 4 (Tue.) ~ October 13 (Thu.)
Application Step 2: October 4 (Tue.) ~ October 14 (Fri.)
<excluding weekends and holidays>

Caution:
1. Please finish extra time for Step 1 and Step 2, prefer three days before deadlines to submit documents
2.Application periods vary according to department. For details, please check Application Guidebook.
3. If you couldn't complete all procedures of "Provisional Application", "Step 1" and "Step 2" within each deadline, your application is invalid.
4. Application submission after deadline is not acceptable with any reasons.

3. Result notification

  Screening result is notified late DECEMBER on Student Portal System.

Before going to Step 1, please fill in pre-check sheet for practice if you need. This sheet has same questions of Step 1 and it will be useful to fill in your answers on web registration.
