Today Taiwan Today 【Epidemic and Taiwan: the past and present】
Public Seminars Off Campus Applications open

Every year Taiwan Studies Program and the 21st Century Program organize an intensive course, Taiwan Today (台湾事情), covering various issues in contemporary Taiwanese society. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, this year’s course will be offered online.
This year, we invited five distinguished speakers, a Taiwan-based writer, Ms. Hikari Sumiki (栖来 ひかり), Prof. Chizuru Tainaka(胎中千鶴) from Mejiro University, Prof. Maoko Mityaoka (宮岡真央子) from Fukuoka University, Prof. Yuko Mio (三尾裕子) from Keio University and Prof. Edward Vickers from Kyushu University.
Except for the lecture by Prof. Vickers, all the lectures will be held in Japanese. However, English interpretation will be available for all the lectures via ZOOM. (In principle, the Japanese-English translation is only available for those who registered through Moodle. If you wish for the translation service, please register from QR code and make sure to select 'yes' for the English interpreter.)
