Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) case confirmed at Kyushu University

On April 14, one student tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID -19) on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests.

We have confirmed that this student has not come to the campus this academic year. 

We hope for the speedy recovery of the infected and we ask for your cooperation in not disclosing any private information regarding this individual and the individual's family members, out of consideration and respect. 

While great concerns surround our community at Kyushu University and in our neighboring communities, we would like to recognize and appreciate our students, faculty, and staff in working together to keep our community safe. Kyushu University will continue to provide the latest information and will strive to prevent the further spread of the infection.
