Notes on the Use of Generative AI in Education at Kyushu University ～For Students～

　In August 2023, Kyushu University created and published the "Basic Stance on the Use of Generative AI in Education" (hereinafter referred to as the "Basic Stance on Generative AI").
　As stated in the statement, we hope that our students will be eager to learn about new technologies such as generative AI, and that they will have the qualities and abilities to properly understand their mechanisms, origins, characteristics, and limitations, as well as to utilize them appropriately.
　For this reason, Kyushu University encourages students to actively utilize generative AI, but at the same time, there are some aspects of generative AI that require caution.
　This document summarizes the points that you need to pay attention to when utilizing generative AI in your classes and other educational aspects. Please read through to the end.
　However, the contents of this document are based on information available up to September 2023 and may be subject to change in the future.
　In this document, "Generative AI" refers to "AI that generates text, images, etc. in response to questions, work instructions (prompt input), etc.". As of September 2023, services such as ChatGPT, Bing AI, Bard, Stable Diffusion, and Midjourney are available.
