Developed by a research team at the Research Institute for Applied Mechanics, these wind power generators have generating efficiency two to three times that of conventional wind turbines. They attract attention both at home and abroad, as devices that could hold the key to developing new forms of energy, in order to achieve a low-carbon society and a stable supply of energy. Two turbines have been installed at the Chikushi Campus and 13 at the Ito Campus.
