The program is intended to foster students in a framework of internationalcooperation to take on problems facing Japan, the EU and the internationalcommunity more generally through comparative analysis of Japan and the EUfrom a broad interdisciplinary perspective that encompasses the humanities,social sciences, natural sciences and other disciplines. The consortium ismade up of four Japanese universities and six universities in the EU, and afterone year of study abroad the partner universities award a double degree.EU-Japan Advanced Multidisciplinary Master Studies Program(EU-JAMM)In cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Pusan NationalUniversity, this program promotes the development of advanced researchersand engineers capable of performing globally in scientific and technologicalapproaches to energy and environmental issues. Upon completion of sixmonths’ overseas study, students are awarded double degrees from KyushuUniversity and the partner institution.Graduate School Collaborative Education Program for Global HumanResource Development in Energy and Environmental EngineeringThis program cultivates talented individuals that are capable of performingglobally under a cooperative Japan-ASEAN framework in earth resourcesengineering?an academic field that is involved in land and marineresource development as well as being related to environmental problems.The program consists of a number of collaborative education programs,such as international internships and programs to support student exchangeand nurture advanced technical and research leaders.ASEAN-Japan BUILD-UP Cooperative Education Program for GlobalHuman Resource Development in Earth Resources EngineeringAdopting legal methodology, the program seeks to develop experts whohave a proper grasp of universality, understand the distinctive character ofASEAN countries as well as local diversity and who can serve as a bridgebetween Japan and the region.
