Student Life and Career SupportThere are five student dorms: Dormitory I, mainly for non-freshman students and graduate studentson the Ito Campus; Dormitory II, mainly for students taking basic learning on the Ito Campus;the Matsubara Dormitory for male students; the Kaizuka Dormitory for female students; and the IjiriDormitory for male students in the School of Design. A new dorm for both Japanese and internationalstudents, Dormitory III and Ito Harmony House were completed in Aug 2014.■ Financial Aid■ DormitoriesNew Dormitories for Future Global LeadersWe open two dorms, Dormitory III and Ito HarmonyHouse. Dormitory III which is type of room shareby four students was completed, as well as ItoHarmony House where approximately 580 studentscan live and exchange their own cultures.When Japanese and international studentsinteract, cultural exchange takes place, a richerlevel of human exchanged is developed, andforeign-language communication skills areimproved. Kyushu University offers a place forstudents of diverse nationalities to live together.It provides an environment for constantself-improvement, and it helps promote globallyoriented individuals who are capable ofperforming on the international stage.Kyushu University provides various financial support options to help students concentrate on their studies and to foster global leaders.*Since each financial aid has different requirements and limited numbers, not all students are qualified to win scholarships.
