The facility’smedical school and clinic were maintained and later became theShuyukan Clinic, Fukuoka Hospital, Fukuoka Prefectural FukuokaMedical School and Fukuoka Prefectural Fukuoka Hospital; in 1903,these merged to form the Kyoto Imperial University FukuokaMedical School, the immediate predecessor of the university.In 1911, the school was renamed Kyushu Imperial University andwent on to build 100 years of history and tradition as a contemporarycenter of knowledge.06 | KYUSHU UNIVERSITY : DISCOVERY
