2,438 New Students at Kyudai


  On 7th April 1999, the Undergraduate Entrance Ceremony was held for Kyudai's 2,438 new students. 682 of them were female students, the largest number to enter the university to date.

  President Sugioka congralated them all and told them: "Try and cultivate an enquiring mind in your studies and build a brighter future in the 21st century." Replying to his words on behalf of all the new undergraduate students, Ms. Nao Hosaka of the Faculty of Engineering, said: "We will do our best to come up to the expectations of society."

  After the ceremony, a lot of senior students were waiting for them in their club uniforms to welcome them.
