Objectives
The Organization was established in April 2002 to further strengthen the management systems for international relations at Kyushu University and to promote international exchange.Structure
The Organization, which has the President of Kyushu University as its head, consists of the International Student Center, the Research Center for Korean Studies, the Kyushu University Asian Research Organization (KUARO), and the Office for the Planning and Coordination of International Affairs.

Functions

- To offer guidance and advice to overseas students in educational and other related matters.
- To offer guidance and advice to Kyushu students who want to study abroad in educational and other related matters.The Research Center for Korean Studies http://rcks.isc.kyushu-u.ac.jp/ (Japanese only)
- To conduct interdisciplinary research on Korea and coordinate joint research activities between researchers in/out of Japan.
- To function as a focal point for Korean studies.KUARO http://www.lyceum.kyushu-u.ac.jp/
- To accumulate and circulate information on the Asian region and to promote comprehensive research on Asia.
- To function as a network point between Kyushu University and other Asian universities.Office for the Planning and Coordination of International Affairs - To compile plans for strategic international projects.
- To coordinate and promote international activities under the leadership of the President.
Staff: Executive Adviser to the President as its head
Three faculty members
Twelve cooperative faculty members who have extensive knowledge on international matters
Five administrative staff from the International Affairs Division and the International Student Exchange Division
The main tasks are:
- To promote exchanges of researchers and students with foreign universities.
- To coordinate the short-term program of the JTW (Japan in Today's World) Program and the Kyushu University Summer Program (KUSP).
- To accumulate information on international related matters and promote other strategic projects.
