Joint Research Department

The Joint Research Department is a hub for collaborative research within the university, established with funds received in accordance with the framework of systematic, medium-to-long-term Comprehensive Collaboration research projects between Kyushu University and private and public organizations. This department implements fixed-term and continuous collaborative research within specific fields of research.

The Department hires and assigns Funded Research Department faculty members who devote themselves to this research, and facilitates collaborative research in which said faculty members are central.

Additionally, as one aspect of its support operations for Comprehensive Collaboration research projects, the Academic Research and Industrial Collaboration Management Office provides research progress management and research advancement support.
