Double Degree Program agreement signed with Yonsei University

On March 27, 2023, the signing ceremony for the Double Degree Program agreement was held between Kyushu University and Yonsei University(Korea).

Five faculty and staff members from Yonsei University, including Dr. Kee-Joon Lee, Dean of Yonsei University College of Dentistry (YUCD), visited our Graduate School of Dental Science, where Dr. Seiji Nakamura, then Dean of the Graduate School of Dental Science (term ended in March 31, 2023) and Dr. Kee-Joon Lee signed the agreement for the Double Degree Program.

Both universities have established a strong relationship since the signing of the agreement on academic cooperation at university level in 1994, YUCD is a world leader in clinical technology, including implant treatment, and in basic research on hard tissue regeneration and reconstructive medicine.

This program aims to nurture advanced medical professionals and researchers who will be active globally in the fields of dentistry and oral science.

The students participating in this program will study at both universities, and will receive one degree from Kyushu University Graduate School of Dental Science, and one degree from YUCD upon completion of the program.

The students are expected not only to acquire specialized knowledge and skills in advanced medical care, but also to become international leaders who will make an impact to the development of dentistry in the future.
