Career Consulting

Kyushu University provides international students the career consulting service with professional and experienced advisors to support job hunting activities.  
One of our on-campus career advisors, Ms. Tomita, speaks English. So, even if you don’t have any confidence in your Japanese skills, please feel free to take the career consulting!
You can choose in person or online.

※You need to make an appointment in advance to have consultation with the advisor. Refer to the following information.

These are the career consulting desks available for international students.
Advanced reservation is required at all desks.
Please be aware of that the available language and reservation process vary depending on the desks.

How to apply
*Reception Period :
【Reservation Deadline is Tuesdays of the week you desire to take consultation】
  Only accept an application received at latest 3 days before the consulting day.
  (Reservation prior to more than a month is unacceptable)
In case the deadline date is holiday or we receive many requests, applications may be closed early.

*If there are unexpectedly many applications, we may not be able to accept all applications.
In that case, we try to accept as fair as possible considering grade, department and order of application.

Kyushu University collects necessary personal information for Individual Consultaion and submits data to FUKUOKA INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SUPPORT CENTER. Collected data will be used only for consultaion and when they send Zoom URL.

When handling personal information submitted by users, the Fukuoka International Student Support Center’s Administrative Council (FiSSC) operates in accordance with all relevant laws, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

【Application process】

1. Apply to International Student Career Support, Career and Scholarship Support Division, Student Affairs  Department, Kyushu University.

2. International Student Career Support staff arranges applications
　 and informs confirmed time schedule to the applicants by e-mail.
　*International Student Career Support sends e-mail even if your application is unaccepted due to full booking in order to offer other options.

3. Confirmed applicants need to send data (ES or resume) desired to be corrected to FiCCS ahead of consultation.
    We will inform you the email address later.

4. You will receive Zoom URL from FiCCS.

5. Enter Zoom in time on the consultation day.

Notes

【Regarding Online Consultation】 

・Your consulting adviser will send you an email includes meeting URL
   before consultation starts.

・Be ready for consultation at least 5 minutes before it starts.

・Turn on your camera and microphone during consultation.

・Consultation might start late sometimes. We are sorry for the inconvenience,
   but in this case, please wait for your adviser in the meeting room.

・Make sure to download app on your devices if you use your phone or tablet.

 【Notes】

・Please bear in mind that you may not be able to consult on
   your preferred date and time. 

・You may have to submit ES (Entry Sheet) depending on
   what you want to consult.
   In case you need to submit your ES ahead of the consultation,
   we will let you  know by the appointment confirmation email.
