If you wish to apply this exemption, please read Application Guideline carefully.

☆Applicable international students: He/she compares with salary, wage, or business income bylabor 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022 in Japan and those estimated income by labor 2022 in Japan and thenprove a decrease of income in 2023 by them.
☆Emergency Tuition Fee Exemption is a different support by a Regular Tuition Fee exemption asbelow.

1. How to apply tuition fee exemption?

<For Current Students, enrolled in or before October 2022>
Firstly, please read Application Guidebook below and check details of application flow, eligibility, required documents' check list, submission way/counter and so on. After you read it and if you are applicable then wish to apply our tuition fee exemption, please apply.
Caution:
Application procedure has two steps. One is web regisitration called Step 1 and second is documents submission called Step 2. Applicants have to complete those two steps within each deadlines.

*Regarding our enrollment fee exemption/deferment and tuition fee exemption for a newly enrolled student who enrolls in April 2023, please visit our website for Newly Enrolled Students.

<For Current Students who cannot come to Japan due to effects of COVID-19 pandemic>
Please read an Application Guidebook above first. Step 2 is different from students live in Japan, so please check below how to complete Step 2 from overseas.

2. Application periods for current students
 
Application Step 1 (Web Registration): February 15 (Wed.)  ~ March 14 (Tue.)
Application Step 2 (Documents submission): February 15 (Wed.) ~ March 15 (Wed.)

Caution:
1. If you are a student who enrolled in April or October 2022 and wish to apply this tuition fee exemption, please apply as a current student within deadlines above.
2. Please finish extra time for Step 1 and Step 2, prefer three days before deadlines to submit documents. 
3. Application periods vary according to department. For details, please check Application Guidebook.
4. If you do not complete Step 1 and Step 2, your application will be invalid.
5. Application submission after deadline is not acceptable with any reasons.

3. Result notification 

Screening result for spring semester tuition fee exemption is notified late JULY on Student Portal System.

If you apply as Annual Status application, screening result for fall semester will be notified late Dcemeber on Student Portal System.

Before going to Step 1, please fill in pre-check sheet for practice if you need. This sheet has same questions of Step 1 and it will be useful to fill in your answers on web registration.
