Kyushu University holds Joint Briefing Sessions 2017 for International Students

Kyushu University was selected for inclusion in the Top Global University Project administered by MEXT. The project is funded by Japanese government and Kyushu University is categorized as Type A grantee: universities conducting world-class education and research that have the potential to be ranked in the first 100 institutions in the World University Ranking. To achieve this goal, we enhance the career support system for international students.
Joint Briefing Session 2017 for international students was held at Gymnasium, Ito Campus on March 7th, 2018 as a part of the projects, following the previous year.
35 companies from a variety of industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure, makers, travel and service-related companies participated in this event. They are all leading companies seeking to recruit international students. Career counseling by a career advisor and job hunting lectures for international students were also held at the same time.
A total of 137 students, including 41 doctor course students, 74 master course students, 12 undergraduate students, and 10 other students (research students and graduates) participated in this event. They are student of School of Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Global Society, Graduate School of Design, Graduate School of Economics, Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences, and Graduate School of Integrated Frontier Sciences. Students participated in the event are mostly from China and others are from Korea, Taiwan, ASEAN countries, Middle East, Europe and Latin America (21 countries in total).
We will make continuous effort to provide job placement support for international students to connect international students to Japanese companies.

Top University Project is a funding project by The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in order to enhance the international competitiveness of higher education in Japan.
