President of University of Rhode Island Visited President Kubo

President David M. Dooley of University of Rhode Island (URI), USA made a courtesy visit to President Chiharu Kubo of Kyushu University, accompanied by Professor Manabu Takasawa of Department of Music of URI on Monday August 6th 2018.
President Dooley and President Kubo exchanged opinions concerning efforts to foster collaboration between universities with Dr. Wakayama, Executive Vice President, Dr. Takamatsu, Vice President, Dr. Watanabe, Vice President and Dr. Chen, Director of International Education Support Center for Engineering.
In April 2018, the URI and Kyushu University have just concluded an academic cooperation agreement and a student exchange agreement, which both are on university level.
Following the courtesy, President Dooley visited the faculty of engineering and had special lecture “Introduction of and Global Education at URI” for our students and faculty.
We are willing to continue to promote academic exchange in the future with URI.
