The Times Higher Education (THE) Japan University Rankings 2019, released on 27 March, placed Kyushu University 4th out of about 760 institutions of higher education in Japan. Launched in 2017, this ranking focuses on teaching, as opposed to the research-focused World University Rankings, and is calculated based on four broad pillars—resources, engagement, outcomes, and environment—covering 16 performance indicators. This result once again proves Kyushu University’s strength as a study destination.
