Academic Year 2013, Kyushu University Commencement Ceremony

   On March 25, 2014 (Tuesday), the Kyushu University Commencement Ceremony was held at newly built SHIIKI HALL for 2,492 undergraduate students. Following the celebration concert by Kyudai Philharmonic Orchestra, President Arikawa delivered a farewell address and conferred degrees on the representatives of the graduating students from each school and from the 21st Century Program.

　Ms. Yui Ozono gave a speech as a representative of the graduating students.

　 After the ceremony for undergraduate students, The Commencement Ceremony for graduate students was held on the same day and 2,237 graduate students were conferred with Master's, Doctoral and First professional degrees.
　As the number of graduating students has been increasing each year, Kyushu University was forced to use bigger venues for these ceremonies off campus. However, with the completion of SHIIKI HALL, which has a seating capacity of up to 3000 persons, the event will now be held there.
