Rahm Emanuel, the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, was welcomed to Kyushu University on November 28, 2022, by Kyushu University President Tatsuro Ishibashi and members of the faculty: Executive Vice President for International Affairs Iwata, Vice President Okamura, and Professor Koide of the Center for Cyber Security. They exchanged views on the possibility of collaboration between Japanese and American universities in the fields of cybersecurity and renewable energy.
