Kyushu University Ito Campus tour

Kyushu University offers campus tours led by our official student guides to show visitors around Ito Campus.

Tour Guidelines

  • The tour is generally held in Japanese.
    There are international student guides who can speak English, but please note that an English-speaking guide may not always be available on your desired visit date.
    Most Japanese student guides are capable of engaging in basic English conversations.

  • The tours might be unavailable if Kyushu University establishes new guidelines in response to a disease pandemic or other circumstances.

  • You are not allowed to visit if you have a fever or other symptoms of ill health.
    If you want to cancel your reservation, please contact the office below.

  • The tour is a 1.5 - 2 hours outdoor walking tour. As you will be walking outside for more than an hour, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and preparing your own equipment, such as an umbrella or a hat, according to weather conditions.
    Please bring something to drink if you need it.

  • Please ensure that no garbage is left behind from your visit.

  • Luggage storage is not available.

  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the University.

  • Please note that entry to campus buildings during the tour is only permitted as guided.

  • Visitors who do not follow the guide's instructions or are disruptive may be asked to leave the campus or be denied further visits.

  • The tour must be reserved directly, not using companies such as travel agencies. We do not accept reservations from companies or other for-profit organizations.

*Except during the New Year's holidays and university events, such as entrance examination days or university festivals.

The tour might not be conducted due to unavoidable circumstances, such as a lack of available student guides.

*Please note that on the first Saturday and Sunday of December, power and water outages typically occur due to routine inspections. Consequently, tours will not be held on these days.

Scheduled Tour Times

Saturdays: 10:00 -12:00 14:00 - 16:00
Sundays: 10:00 -12:00 14:00 - 16:00
Public Holidays: 10:00 -12:00 ; 14:00 - 16:00

The tour will take 1.5 - 2 hours.
The tour will be held, rain or shine. However, the tour may be canceled due to weather warnings or disasters.

*There are no major differences in the visiting spots between the two tours

Registration procedure

Please make your reservation using the calendar provided below.
Please note that we are unable to accept reservations via phone or email.

You can make a tour reservation up to one month in advance.

We do not accept waitlists or walk-ins on the day of the tour.
Please refrain from attempting to join a tour on the day without a prior reservation, as this might disrupt the smooth operation of the tour.

  • You will receive a confirmation email after registration. If you do not receive this email, your registered email might be incorrect. In that case, please contact the office below for assistance.

  • Emails may not be successfully delivered to mobile phone email addresses, so please use a computer-based email address for registration.

  • The personal information you provide will not be used for any purpose other than managing the campus tour.

Cancellation

Cancellations can be made up to the day before the tour.

If you need to cancel on the day of the tour, please email the Campus Tour Information Desk.
