The message from the President regarding the Kumamoto Earthquakes
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, which struck on Tuesday, July 28.
We would also like to express our deepest respect and gratitude to those who are devoting themselves to rescue, relief, and recovery efforts in the affected areas.
A challenging situation continues across a wide region, including the disaster-stricken areas, as aftershocks persist. We recognize that many people are facing uncertainty and hardship. We sincerely pray for the safety of all those affected and for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the impacted communities. Kyushu University will continue to provide support in every way possible while closely monitoring the situation.
