Conference of Asian University Presidents Held

  The 7th Conference of Asian University Presidents was held from Thursday, November 13 to Friday November 14, 2008, in Taiwan University (Taipei). Representatives from 21 universities in 10 countries were invited.
  Participants from Kyushu University included President Setsuo Arikawa, Vice President Sachiyo Suita and Prof. Kazuo Ogata (Institute of Tropical Agriculture).
  The conference was established in December 2000 under the initiative of Kyushu University to promote a relationship of mutual trust among the presidents of major universities in Asia, and to contribute to the exchange and development of researchers.
