Courtesy Visit by Chinese Minister Wang Zhigang

Wang Zhigang, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of Science and Technology (MOST), People’s Republic of China made a courtesy visit to Executive Vice President Masato Wakayama of Kyushu University (Kyushu U), accompanied by the delegates on Saturday August 25th 2018.
Executive Vice President, Dr. Yasuura, and Vice President, Dr. Watanabe of Kyushu University also attended the meeting and Dr. Wakayama briefly presented a general overview of Kyushu University to the delegates. They exchanged opinions and had fruitful discussion.
This time, Minister Wang Zhigang and the delegates came to Japan in order to attend the “Japan-China Science and Technology Cooperation Committee” which was held in Tokyo on Thursday August 23rd, and they visited Kyushu U after the committee.
Following the courtesy on Saturday, Minister and delegates visited the hydrogen-related facilities, and Vice President Sasaki of Kyushu U had presentation about latest research and activities. Minister also inspected the hydrogen station and the Jonathan KS Choi Cultural Center of Japan at Ito Campus.
We are willing to continue to promote academic exchange in the future with universities in China.
