On September 25, 2025, the Kyushu University Commencement Fall 2025 was held at Shiiki Hall, Ito Campus. The University conferred degrees to 440 students, including 70 bachelor's degrees, 174 master's degrees, 4 professional degrees, and 192 doctoral degrees.

After conferring degrees to the representatives of each program, President Ishibashi delivered the President’s address and encouraged the graduates. In his address, he mentioned Dr. Noyuki Kawahara—an alumnus of Kyushu University who has been actively engaged in medical support activities in Sudan, and serves as a bridge between the university and the country—as well as 19 alumni associations established both in Japan and abroad. He emphasized the bond between Kyushu University and its graduates, saying:

“Kyushu University places great importance on connections with its alumni. Any time you want to learn more or challenge yourself with new goals, we will welcome you back to Kyushu University. I hope you’ll take full advantage of these networks to continue to maintain a fulfilling connection with the university and society around you.”

Following this, on behalf of the graduates, Mohamed Ragab Ahmed Mustafa Diab, a doctoral graduate from the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, gave an address in reply. He expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and the university’s faculty and staff, saying:

“My journey here has been as much a cultural and personal evolution as an academic one. The transition was not without difficulty: adapting to new academic systems, overcoming language barriers, and building relationships far from home. Yet each of these challenges became a source of strength. As we now stand at the threshold of a new chapter, let us carry forward not only the knowledge we have gained but the values that have guided us here—integrity, humility, collaboration, and resilience.”

The commencement ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.
