Kyushu University held “Kyushu University Energy Week 2026” over five days from Monday, January 26 to Friday, January 30, 2026.
Marking its 10th anniversary, this year’s event was held under the theme of “Energy Intelligence Beyond Borders: The Future Supply Chains in a New Era of Global Competition.”
We invited distinguished speakers from Japan and abroad and organized various events in collaboration with energy-related organizations both inside and outside the university.
Opening Remarks by President Tatsuro Ishibashi
Prior to the main event, related programs were also held, including the “International Hydrogen Energy Development Forum & HYDROGENIUS SYMPOSIUM 2025” hosted by the Research Center for Hydrogen Industrial Use and Storage (HYDROGENIUS), as well as the “I²CNER–OIST Joint Symposium,” co-hosted by the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I²CNER) and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST).
Throughout the week, approximately 1,200 participants from universities, research institutions, industry, and government bodies in Japan and overseas attended the events, and the program concluded successfully.
