On Friday, April 10, 2026, the first Cross-Cultural Exchange Event was held at the Chikushi Campus. This event was organized and conducted by the university’s Strategic International Advisory Group (SIAG).

The purpose of this event was to bring together faculty members and researchers from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds to create opportunities for deepening exchanges that transcend disciplinary and national boundaries. By freely exchanging opinions and sharing their respective perspectives and experiences, participants discovered new insights and possibilities for collaboration. Another key objective of this event was to strengthen the network among faculty members and researchers through such dialogue and interaction, thereby laying the foundation for future international collaboration in educational and research activities. This initiative is expected to foster an effective cooperative framework to advance the university’s internationalization efforts.

The event began with opening remarks by Senior Vice President Lauwereyns, who expressed gratitude for contributions to the university’s internationalization efforts to date and shared hope that this event would further expand exchanges among faculty members and researchers. Participants exchanged views in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying light refreshments.

Although this was the first time the event was held, many participants expressed hope for future events, and it closed on a high note.
