　 全学教育科目「社会と学問」は、各界で活躍する先輩たちが毎回交代で一年生に「講義」するというユニークなものです。

　７月２日（水）には、九州大学からの唯一の講師として梶山総長が登壇。九州大学の総長は何を話すのだろうと注目する約３百人の学生たちに、「科学の進歩は常識と思われていることが非常識になる過程で起きる。それを頭において勉強してほしい。」「身の周りで起きていることに何故と疑問を持ち、自分なりに答えを出してみる。ぜひそういう訓練をしてください。」と、専門である高分子化学での例を挙げながら呼びかけ、「来年箱崎で会おう」と結びました。
