 最先端科学の研究と教育を担う国内の主要研究大学で構成する学術研究懇談会（RU11）は、トムソン・ロイター（Thomson Reuters）社とタイムズ・ハイヤー・エデュケーション（THE Times Higher Education）社に対し、大学ランキングの評価方法の改訂を求める声明文を送付し、8月23日に受理されました。
