　Thomson Scientific は、Research Front Award 2007－最先端研究領域において活躍する日本の研究者－として、「日本で研究が進められている10の領域（リサーチフロント）において最も活躍している」17名の科学者を発表しました。

　そのうちの一人に、九州大学大学院工学研究院応用化学部門の中嶋 直敏教授が「カーボンナノチューブ可溶化・機能化デザインへの戦略的なアプローチ」によって選ばれました。
