　九州大学は2011年に迎える百周年事業の一環として、『東アジア環境問題』に全学で取り組むこととしました。
　九州大学内の環境研究に取り組む優れた研究者を全学より集め、テーマごとに複数のチームを結成して、中国や韓国等東アジアの主要大学・研究機関、および日本の企業等と環境問題に関する共同研究などの国際間の産学官連携を進めるプロジェクトを開始いたしました。
