工学部OBのファン氏、2004ハイテク産業界の殿堂入り

　本学OBのロバート・ファン氏（工学部電子工学科1968年卒）が、2004年ハイテク産業界の殿堂（Industry Hall of Fame）入りを果たされました。

　これは、ITクリエイターやハイテク産業を牽引された方々を該当者とするもので、米国で1997年に始まり、８回目となった今回の殿堂入りはわずか６人でした。

　ファン氏は、コンピュータ関連企業のシネックス（Synnex）社の創立者であり、24年間に亘ってCEOを務め、年商４千億円という大企業に育て上げました。今後のますますのご活躍が期待されます。
